Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.
Manufacturer - Gene Name
PGR
Gene Full Name
Progesterone receptor
Background
This monoclonal antibody is specific to progesterone receptor and shows minimal cross-reaction with other members of the family. Progesterone receptor is expressed as two major isoforms, PR-A (81kDa) and PR-B (116kDa). Expression of PgR has been suggested to reflect a intact estrogen regulatory machinery and therefore, predict better clinical response to endocrine therapy than ER alone.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Progesterone Receptor protein
Contents
Prepared in 10mM PBS with 0.05% BSA & 0.05% azide. Also available WITHOUT BSA & azide at 1.0mg/ml.
Purification
200ug/ml of antibody purified from Bioreactor Concentrate by Protein A/G.
Concentration
Purified antibody with BSA and azide at 200ug/ml
Manufacturer - Research Category
Cancer, Domain Families, Endocrine System, Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling, Neuroscience, Nuclear Hormone Receptors, Nuclear Receptors, Nuclear Signaling Pathways, Signal Transduction, Signaling Pathway, Transcription, Tumor Biomarkers, Zinc Finger
Protein Function
The steroid hormones and their receptors are involved in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression and affect cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. Progesterone receptor isoform B (PRB) is involved activation of c-SRC/MAPK signaling on hormone stimulation.
