Protein Function	Transcription activator that binds to antioxidant response (ARE) elements in the promoter regions of target genes. Important for the coordinated up-regulation of genes in response to oxidative stress. May be involved in the transcriptional activation of genes of the beta-globin cluster by mediating enhancer activity of hypersensitive site 2 of the beta-globin locus control region.

Description	The Nrf2 Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor Nrf2 protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of Nrf2 in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on Nrf2.
Tissue Specificity	Widely expressed. Highest expression in adult muscle, kidney, lung, liver and in fetal muscle.
