Protein Function
Receptor for both interleukin 4 and interleukin 13. Couples to the JAK1/2/3-STAT6 pathway. The IL4 response is involved in promoting Th2 differentiation. The IL4/IL13 responses are involved in regulating IgE production and, chemokine and mucus production at sites of allergic inflammation. In certain cell types, can signal through activation of insulin receptor substrates, IRS1/IRS2.
Subcellular Localization
Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Short Description
The IL-4R/CD124 (Phospho-Tyr497) Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay kit that can monitor IL-4R/CD124 (Phospho-Tyr497) protein expression profile in cells. The kit can be used for measuring the relative amounts of IL-4R/CD124 (Phospho-Tyr497) in cultured cells as well as screening for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (ie. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on IL-4R/CD124 (Phospho-Tyr497).
