Description	CNN1 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 305 amino acids (1-297) and having a molecular mass of 34.2 kDa. CNN1 is fused to an 8 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Protein function	Thin filament-associated protein that is implicated in the regulation and modulation of smooth muscle contraction. It is capable of binding to actin, calmodulin, troponin C and tropomyosin. The interaction of calponin with actin inhibits the actomyosin Mg-ATPase activity (By similarity).
Purification	Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
