Description	InvivoChem Cat #:V3915CAS #:1535212-07-7Purity >=98% Description: Voxilaprevir (formerly known as GS-9857; trade name: Vosevi) is a hepatitis C virus (HCV) nonstructural (NS) protein 3/4A protease inhibitor developed by Gilead. It is used in combination with sofosbuvir and velpatasvir. The combination has the trade name Vosevi and received a positive opinion from the European Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use in June 2017. Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir (trade name: Vosevi) is a recently approved therapeutic combination for the treatment of hepatitis C. Sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir fills one of the previously unfilled niches for the treatment of hepatitis C, that of the treatment of individuals who have failed therapy with resistant virus. With the filling of this niche, there appears to be a general slowing of the development of new therapeutics. Although understandable, in the long term, there are considerable risks associated with the decreased development of new drugs to treat hepatitis C.
