Listeria monocytogenes is a intracellular bacterium that is the causative agent of Listeriosis. It is one of the most virulent foodborne pathogens. Listeria species are known to secrete a 60kD protein collectively termed p60, which is encoded by the "iap" (invasion-associated-protein) gene and secreted in large quantities into the growth media. p60 is a highly immunogenic murein hydrolase that is essential for cell division.

Listeria monocytogenes p60 (aa1-484) is fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
