Description	Rabbit Anti-Human BCL2 Affinity Purified polyclonal antibody. BCL2 and its homologs belong to a family of proteins that either promotes or prevent apoptosis. BCL2 alpha and beta are the alternatively spliced isoforms of 25 kDa and 22 kDa mitochondrial integral membrane proteins that inhibit apoptosis.
Formulation	Liquid in PBS, pH 7.2 + 30% glycerol + 0.5% BSA + 0.01% thimerosal. Precaution: Sodium azide and thimerosal are poisonous and hazardous substances which should be handled by trained staff only.
Immunogen	Synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminus of human BCL2
Purification	Biospecific affinity chromatography
Specificity	Detects a 25 kDa protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular weight of the alpha isoform of BCL2 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots.
