Description	Rabbit Anti-Human Caspase 7 Affinity Purified polyclonal antibody. Caspase 7 is a 34 kDa protein consisting of two subunits and a short prodomain. The pro-caspase 7 can be activated by cleavage by upstream caspases to form active caspase 7 in apoptosis. Once activated, caspase 7 cleaves many, of the same substrates as caspase 3, including poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs).
Formulation	Liquid in PBS, pH 7.2 + 30% glycerol + 0.5% BSA + 0.01% thimerosal. Precaution: Thimerosal is a poisonous and hazardous substance which should be handled by trained staff only.
Immunogen	Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding the cleavage site of human caspase 7 large fragment
Purification	Biospecific affinity chromatography
Specificity	Detects the full length (35-37 kDa) and the large fragment (20-25 kDa) of processed caspase 7.
