Purified Rabbit Anti-Mouse Inhibitor of NF-kappa-B alpha polyclonal antibody generated using, E. coli, expressed Mouse I-kappa-B alpha. Nuclear Factor of kappa light polyppeptide gene enhancer in B-cells Inhibitor alpha (NFKBIA/I-kappa-B alpha) is a NF-kappa-B inhibitory protein. It binds NF-kappa-B, retains the complex in the cytoplasm, prevents it from entering the nucleus, and functions as a transcription factor. Upon receiving a variety of signals, I-kappa-B alpha undergoes phosphorylation at serine residues by a ubiquitin-dependent protein kinase and is finally degraded by the proteasome. Free NF-kappa-B then binds to DNA and affects gene expression.

Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute to 1 mg/ml by adding 200 ul H2O.
