Description	TGF beta 1 is a family of multifunctional 25 kDa proteins. TGFbeta1 was originally identified for its ability to induce the growth of normal rodent fibroblasts in soft agar. It is now known that TGF beta 1 is a potent growth inhibitor of many normal and transformed cell lines. It regulates normal cell growth, development and tissue remodeling following injury. TGF beta 1 is produced as latent high molecular weight complexes. The activation of latent TGF beta 1 is an important step in the regulation of its action.
Formulation	Lyophilized with 0.1% sodium azide. Precaution: This product contains sodium azide: a poisonous and hazardous substance which should be handled by trained staff only.
