Description
This gene encodes a serine hydrolase that belongs to the esterase D family. The encoded enzyme is active toward numerous substrates including O-acetylated sialic acids, and it may be involved in the recycling of sialic acids. This gene is used as a genetic marker for retinoblastoma and Wilson's disease.
Formulation
10 mM Tris + pH 8.0 + 0.1% Triton X-100 + 0.002% NaN3. Precaution: Sodium azide is a poisonous and hazardous substance which should be handled by trained staff only.
Molecular Weight
32.4 kDa (Calculated)
Storage and Stability
Store at -80C. As with any protein, exposing EDS recombinant protein to repeated freeze/thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature. During shipment, small volumes of EDS recombinant protein will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For products with volumes of 200 uL or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container’s cap.
