Description	Recombinant Human Stem Cell Growth Factor-beta contains 227 amino acid residues.
Formulation	Lyophilized from PBS, pH 7.3
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening . First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fully solubilize the protein to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. After complete solubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted into buffer containing carrier protein or medium containing serum. Please note that the addition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed.
Biological Activity	Determined by its inhibitory effect on the proliferation of TF-1 cells, previously grown in media containing GM-CSF. The ED50 for this effect is 7 ng/ml. For most, in vitro, applications, SCGF-beta exerts its biological activity in the concentration range of 0.2 to 20.0 ng/ml.
