Description
Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Type II is an inhibitor of TNF and can block TNF bioactivity. Recombinant human TNF-RII produced in CHO is a dimeric, glycosylated, polypeptide chain consisting of the extraCellular ligand-binding portion of the human 75 kilodalton (p75) tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) linked to the Fc portion of human IgG1. The Fc component of TNFRII contains the CH2 domain, the CH3 domain and hinge region, but not the CH1 domain of IgG1. It consists of 934 amino acids and has an apparent molecular weight of approximately 150 kilodaltons.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile solution containing 1.6 mg mannitol, 0.4 mg sucrose and 48 ug tromethamine per 1 mg protein
Reconstitution
Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers or store d at 4C for 1 week or -20C for future use.
Biological Activity
Recombinant Human TNF-alpha is fully biologically active when compared to standard. Potency is determined by its ability to neutralize TNF-alpha mediated growth inhibition of A 375 cells, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 1.7 x 107 IU/mg.
Endotoxin Level
< 0.1 ng/ug of Recombinant TNFR.
