Storage Conditions	Lyophilized THPO although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -20C. Upon reconstitution, recombinant THPO should be stored at, 2-4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles .
Description	Recombinant Human THPO is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 174 amino acids and having a MW of 18.6 kDa, which comprises the receptor binding domain of the Mpl-ligand protein.
Formulation	Sterile filtered, lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution in water containing no additives.
Reconstitution	Centrifuge vial prior to opening . Reconstitute in sterile water not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be diluted further to other aqueous solutions.
Specificity	1 x 106 IU/mg
Biological Activity	Determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of MO7e cells. The ED50 is less than 1 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level	Less than 0.1 ng/ug of THPO
