Description
Ubiquitin is a highly conserved protein that has a major role in targeting cellular proteins for degradation by the 26S proteosome. It is a small protein composed of 76 amino acid and is found either in free form or conjugated to proteins through a covalent bond between the glycine at the C-terminal end or one of the 7 lysine residues. Recombinant Human Ubiquitin is purified by ion-exchange chromatography.
