Description
Purified native Human Cathepsin H protein-Cathepsin H is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CTSH gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase important in the overall degradation of lysosomal proteins. It is composed of a dimer of disulfide-linked heavy and light chains, both produced from a single protein precursor.
Formulation
Frozen in 20 mM CH3COONa, pH 4.5 with 1 mM EDTA and 100 mM NaCl.
Biological Activity
>1 units/mg-One unit of activity is defined as the amount of enzyme which hydrolyzes one uMole of L-arginine-beta-naphtylamide per minute at 40C in 75 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 6.8 with 1 mM EDTA and 3 mM cysteine.
