Description
Human Creatine Kinase MB Isoenzyme is one of the most important myocardial markers with well-established roles in confirming acute myocardial infarction. Human Creatine Kinase consists of two isoenzymes, B (brain type) or M (muscle type). Three different human isoenzymes exist: CKBB, CKMM, and CKMB.
Formulation
Lyophilized from 5 mM Succinate Buffer + 1 mM EDTA + 1 mM DTE + 10 mM NaCl
Specificity
Typically >250 U/mL 37C. One unit will transfer one mmole of phosphate from Creatine Phosphate to ADP per minute at 37C. Measured at 340 nm as one equimolar amount of NADH produced by a coupled reaction.
Endotoxin Level
< 0.1 ng/ug of protein.
