Description
Human Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) refers to a class and range of lipoprotein particles, varying in their size which carry cholesterol in the blood and around the body, for use by cells. Human Low Density Lipoprotein LDL contains the apolipoproteins B-100. Generally, Human Low Density Lipoprotein LDL transports cholesterol and triglycerides from the liver and small intestine to cells and tissues which are taking up cholesterol and triglycerides. Human Low Density Lipoprotein LDL(s) transport cholesterol to the arteries, increased levels are associated with atherosclerosis, and thus heart attack, stroke and peripheral vascular disease.
