Description	Human [Leu24] Insulin-like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) is an analog of human IGF-Iwith a Leu substitution in place of Tyr at position 24. Compared to human IGF-I, human [Leu24] IGF-I has greatly reduced binding to the Type 1 IGF receptor andto the insulin receptor, but binding to acid-stripped human serum binding isunaltered. Consequently human [Leu24] IGF-I is an extremely useful analog ofIGF-I for investigating IGF actions largely independent of binding to the Type 1IGF receptor.
