Description
Mouse Interleukin 12 (IL12) is a regulatory protein produced by activated B lymphocytes and macrophages. The biological activities of IL 12 include the stimulation of growth of activated CD4+ cells and cytotoxic CD8+T cells and NK cells. Murine IL 12 also promotes the development of proinflammatory / Th1-like CD4+ cells and cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. Murine IL 12 is a disulfide linked heterodimeric protein with a molecular weight of 70 kDa comprised of disulfide-bonded 35 kDa (p35) and 40kDa (p40) subunits.
Formulation
Lyophilized
Biological Activity
Determined by the stimulation of IFN gamma production by murine spenocytes co-stimulated with IL12. The expected ED50 for this effect is 0.1 ng/mL.
