Description
Beta Galactosidase full length protein-B-galactosidase, also called beta-gal or B-gal, is a hydrolase enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of B-galactosides into monosaccharides. Substrates of different Beta-galactosidases include ganglioside GM1, lactosylceramides, lactose, and various glycoproteins. Lactase is often confused as an alternative name for B-galactosidase, but it is actually simply a sub-class of B-galactosidase.
Formulation
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from Tris salts and Magnesium Chloride, 1.9 mg solid. 722 Units per mg protein.

Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute with 0.1 M NaPO4 buffer, pH 7.3
