Description	Recombinant Zea mays CK2 alpha is less prone to degradation than the human counterpart. The alpha-subunit is constitutively active and suitable for labeling casein kinase 2 alpha substrates. It is shown to be extremely salt sensitive, the highest activity is shown without salt.
Formulation	Liquid in 25 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.5 + 500 mM NaCl + 1 mM DTT + 500 uM PMSF + 50% glycerol.
Specificity	> 1 U/mg (1 Unit is defined as 1 micromole phosphate transferred to synthetic peptide RRRDDDSDDD per min at 30 C)
