Description
Recombinant Hepatitis B Surface Antigen adw subtype. HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). It indicates current Hepatitis B infection. HBsAg has antigenic heterogeneity involving two pairs of sub specific determinants, d/y and w/r, which allow the following combinations: adw, ayw, adr, ayr. The adw serotype is commonly referred to as the Australian Antigen.
