Description	The Ki-67 protein is a cellular marker that is expressed in the nucleus only during the G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cyle and not in the resting phases (G0 and G1). Thus, it is often used as a marker for cell proliferation, and can act as an effective indicator for grading tumor proliferation rates.
