Manufacturer - Applications
The ED50calculated by the dose-dependent proliferation of murine NFS-60indicator cells (measured by 3Hthymidine uptake) is <0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1 x 108 IU/mg. Eachlaboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in itsparticular application. Other applications have not been tested but use insuch assays should not necessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
Thelyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is beststored at -20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at2–8oC. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at -20°C. Avoidmultiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Antigen Description
Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF or GCSF)is a colony-stimulating factor hormone. G-CSF is also known as colony-stimulatingfactor 3 (CSF 3).It is a glycoprotein, growth factor and cytokine produced bya number of different tissues to stimulate the bone marrow to producegranulocytes and stem cells. G-CSF then stimulates the bone marrow to releasethem into the blood.G-CSF also stimulates the survival, proliferation, differentiation, and function of neutrophil precursors and matureneutrophils. G-CSF regulates them using Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transducerand activator of transcription (STAT) and Ras /mitogen-activated proteinkinase (MAPK) and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt)signal transduction pathway.
