Manufacturer - Applications
The ED50as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of mouse CTLL-2 cells is lessthan 0.0645ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 16.9 MIU/mg. Eachlaboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in itsparticular application. Other applications have not been tested but use insuch assays should notnecessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
Thelyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at room temperature, is beststored at –20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to 1 week) store at2-8oC. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at –20°C. Avoidmultiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Full name
Interleukin 2
Product Overview
Recombinant Human IL-2 is a single non-glycosylatedmutein (variant form) of human IL-2 polypeptidechain containing 134 aminoacids and having a molecular weight of 15, 517 Da. The sequence of the first fiveN-terminal amino acids was determined to be Met-Ala-Pro-Thr-Ser. RecombinantHuman IL- 2 has a Ser substitute for Cysteine at position 126.

Antigen Description
Interleukin-2 (IL-2)is an interleukin, a type of cytokine immune system signaling molecule, whichis a leukocytotrophic hormone that is instrumental in the body"s naturalresponse to microbial infection and in discriminating between foreign(non-self) and self. IL-2 mediates its effects by binding to IL-2 receptors, which are expressed by lymphocytes, the cells that are responsible forimmunity.
