Manufacturer - Applications
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulationof the proliferation of mouse FDC-P1 cell line is <0.2ng/ml, correspondingto a specific activity of 5 x 106 IU/mg. Each laboratory should determine anoptimum working titer for use in its particular application. Otherapplications have not been tested but use in such assays should notnecessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
The lyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at roomtemperature, is best stored at –20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to1 week) store at 2-8oC. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at–20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Full name
Colony Stimulating Factor 2 (Granulocyte-macrophage)
Product Overview
Recombinant mouse Csf2 is a single non-glycosylated polypeptidechain containing 125 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 14, 285.35Da, was expressed in E. coli. The sequence of the first five N-terminal aminoacids was determined to be Met-Ala-Pro-Thr-Arg. Contains less than 1% dimersand aggregates.

Antigen Description
GM-CSFstimulates stem cells to produce granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, andbasophils) and monocytes. Monocytes exit the circulation and migrate intotissue, whereupon they mature into macrophages and dendritic cells. Thus, itis part of the immune/inflammatory cascade, by which activation of a smallnumber of macrophages can rapidly lead to an increase in their numbers, aprocess crucial for fighting infection. The active form of the protein isfound extracellularly as a homodimer.
