Manufacturer - Applications
The biological activity is determined by the dose-dependentstimulation of the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC) using a concentration range of 1.0-5.0ng/ml. Each laboratory shoulddetermine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application.Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should notnecessarily be excluded.
Storage Conditions
The lyophilized product, though stable for 3 weeks at roomtemperature, is best stored at –20°C. After reconstitution, short term (up to1 week) store at 2-8oC. Long term, add 0.1% HSA or BSA, aliquot and store at–20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Full name
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A
Product Overview
Recombinant mouse VEGF is a double non-glycosylated polypeptidechain containing 165 amino acids and having a molecular weight of 39, 035 Da, wasexpressed in E. coli. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acidswas determined to be Met-Ala-Pro-Thr-Thr. Contains less than 1% dimers andaggregates.

Antigen Description
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a signal proteinproduced by cells that stimulates vasculogenesis and angiogenesis. It is partof the system that restores the oxygen supply to tissues when bloodcirculation is inadequate. VEGF"s normal function is to create new bloodvessels during embryonic development, new blood vessels after injury, musclefollowing exercise, and new vessels (collateral circulation) to bypassblocked vessels
