4ABU32 reacts with CD21 protein, a 145 kDa receptor for C3d complement fragment and for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), expressed on all mature B lymphocytes from sIg+ stage, then lost upon activation. It also present on follicular dendritic cells and some epithelia cells. It is reported CD21 weakly expressed on the subset of mature T -cells. CD21 plays a role in B cell activation and proliferation and is part of a large signal-transduction complex containing CD19, CD81and other molecules as regulator of complement activation.This clone is cross reactive with non-human primate .*CD21 is a phenotyping marker of lymphoma.
