A717 is a mouse monoclonal antibody, IgG1 class, developed against human glycated albumin. It is prepared from mouse ascites by affinity chromatography, and supplied as a liquid in PBS. The concentration varies with manufacturing lot. It contains no preservative.
A717 is effective at concentrations of 0.3-5ug/ml in microplate based ELISAs and in Western Blots designed to monitor h glycated albumin. It is specific to the antigen, and does not cross-react with other glycated proteins, such as h HbA1c, h glycoHb A0 and glycated LDL, and does not react with deglycated albumin. Specific assay conditions are available upon request. Short term storage should be done at 4C. Long term storage should be completed at -60C. Repeated cycles of freezing and thawing should be avoided.
