Description	Prohibitin (B-cell receptor-associated protein 32, BAP 32) is an evolutionarily conserved protein located in the inner membrane of mitochondria. Prohibitin appears to be a very reliable marker of mitochondria. Prohibitin shows antiproliferative activity and has been proposed to play a role in normal cell cycle regulation, replicative senescence, cellular immortalization, and tumor suppression.GenScript, Rabbit Anti-Prohibitin Polyclonal Antibody, is produced by immunization of a synthetic peptide derived from mouse prohibitin and highly purified from rabbit antiserum by protein A chromatography.
