Description	Dysbindin, also known as dystrobrevin-binding protein 1 that contains acoiled-coil. Dysbindin upregulates expression of the pre-synaptic proteins SNAP25 and synapsin I, thereby increasing glutamate release and promoting neuronal viability through Akt signaling. It is a component of the biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex-1 (BLOC1), which regulates trafficking to lysosome-related organelles and includes the proteins pallidin, muted, and cappuccino. Dysbindin also binds to alpha- and beta-dystrobrevins, components of the dystrophin-associated protein complex. GenScript, Dysbindin Antibody, pAb, Rabbit, is developed in rabbit using a KLH-coupled synthetic peptide within residues 120–170 of human Dysbindin (Swiss Prot: Q96EV8).
