The oncoprotein has been described from Y79 IMR 32 and PC12 cells. The antibody detects YES1 in lysates of Y79 using Western blotting as a single band at 61 kDa. This band is peptide-blockable and is therefore thought to be c-yes. The antibody also reacts strongly to the immunising peptide in an ELISA assay.
