Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography

Recognises human CD256 otherwise known as APRIL (A proliferation-inducing ligand). It is a 27kDa member of the Tumour Necrosis Factor ligand superfamily. CD256 and its receptor are both important for B cell development. It may also be implicated in the regulation of tumour cell growth and monocyte/macrophage-mediated immunological processes. CD256 is expressed in cancers of the colon thyroid and lymphoid tissues and on monocytes and macrophages.
