Immunogen:
B7-DC transfected RAW264. 7 cells.
Specificity:
Recognises mouse CD273 a 42kD member of the B7 family otherwise known as B7-dendritic cell (B7-DC) or programmed death ligand-2 (PD-L2). The expression of CD273 is restricted to a subpopulation of dendritic cells (DCs) and DCs and macrophages that have been stimulated with interferon gamma GM-CSF or IL-4. CD273 has been identified as a ligand for PD-1(CD279) along with another B7 family member B7-H1 (CD279). Studies suggest that both CD273 and B7-H1 co-stimulate or inhibit T cell proliferation and cytokine production. Antibodies produced by clone TY25 are reported to block the binding of CD273 (B7-DC) to it\' s receptor (1). Recommended Negative Controls: RAT IgG2a NEGATIVE CONTROL:FITC
Function:
Involved in the costimulatory signal essential for T-cell proliferation and IFNG production in a PDCD1-independent manner. Interaction with PDCD1 inhibits T-cell proliferation by blocking cell cycle progression and cytokine production. Ref. 1Ref. 3Ref. 4Subunit structureInteracts with PDCD1. Ref. 1Subcellular locationCell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein By similarity. Tissue specificityExpressed in immature and mature bone marrow-derived dendritic cells and splenic dendritic cells. Highly expressed in placenta liver and weakly expressed in heart spleen lymph nodes and thymus. Also expressed in some tumor cell lines of lymphoid origin. Ref. 1Ref. 3Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. BTN/MOG family. Contains 1 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. Contains 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. 1. Kishi M et al (2005) Mammalian SAD kinases are required for neuronal polarization. Science 307:929-322. Lu R et al.
