Genway ID:
GWB-19E8E4
Isotype:
IgG
Immunogen:
Purified recombinant human interleukin 3 soluble receptor alpha (IL3 sRalpha) expressed in insect Sf 21 cells
Antigen Species:
Human
Specificity:
Anti-Human Interleukin 3 Receptor alpha recognizes recombinant human IL3 R alpha by immunoblotting and ELISA. The antibody shows approximately 2% crossreactivity with recombinant human IL2 sRbeta recombinant human IL2 sRgamma and recombinant human IL6 sR.
Target:
IL3-RA
Localization:
Cell Membrane
Concentration:
0. 1 mg/ml
Purification Note:
Affinity isolated antigen specific antibody is obtained from goat anti IL3RA antiserum by immuno-specific purification which removes essentially all goat serum proteins including immunoglobulins which do not specifically bind to the peptide. Storage
Preservative:
NoneConstituents: PBS
Application Note:
ELISA: Use at a concentration of 0. 5 - 1 µ g/ml. The detection limit for human IL3 Ralpha is approximately 0. 06 ng/well. WB: Use at a concentration of 0. 1 - 0. 2 µ g/ml. The detection limit for recombinant human IL3 sRalpha is approximately 5 ng/lane and 2 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions respectively. Predicted
Molecular Weight:
33 kDa. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. Cellular
Localization:
Cell Membrane Interleukin 3 (IL3) originally called Colony Forming Unit-Stimulating Activity (CFU-SA) is a multifunctional cytokine produced by activated T lymphocytes or mast cells. IL3 supports the formation of multilineage colonies in the early development of multipotent hematopoietic progenitor cells. It induces colony formation of macrophages neutrophils mast cells and megakaryocytes from agar suspended bone marrow cells. Interleukin 3 binds specifically and with high affinity to cell-surface receptors. Interleukin 3 receptors are members of the cytokine receptor superfamily. The IL3 receptor complex contains two distinct cytokine receptor subunits ligand binding IL3 Ralpha and IL3 Rbeta. Recombinant human IL3 sRalpha (286 amino acid residue) has a predicted molecular mass of approximately 33 kDa. The alpha subunit alone binds IL3 with low affinity. The beta subunit does not bind IL3 by itself but is required for the high-affinity binding of IL3 to the heterodimeric receptor complex. The alpha subunit is also a component of the high-affinity receptor complex for IL5 and GMCSF.
Function:
This is a receptor for interleukin-3.
Subunit:
Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit. The beta subunit is common to the IL3 IL5 and GM-CSF receptors.
Subcellular Location:
Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Domain:
The WSXWS motif appears to be necessary for proper protein folding and thereby efficient intracellular transport and cell-surface receptor binding.
Domain:
The box 1 motif is required for JAK interaction and/or activation.
Miscellaneous:
The gene encoding for this protein is located in the pseudoautosomal region 1 (PAR1) of X and Y chromosomes.
Similarity:
Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 5 subfamily.
