Genway ID:
GWB-85F6F9
Isotype:
IgG
Immunogen:
Synthetic phospho peptide containing Tyrosine 1054. The sequence is conserved in mouse and rat.
Antigen Species:
Mouse
Specificity:
VEGFR 3 (100%) has not been tested but is expected to react.
Positive Control:
NIH 3T3 cells transfected with full-length wild type VEGFR 2 or Porcine Aortic cells transfected with a chimeric receptor consisting of the extracellular domain receptor coupled to the transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains of the VEGFR 2
Target:
VEGF receptor 2
Localization:
Type I membrane protein
Concentration:
0. 5 mg/ml
Purification Note:
The antibody has been negatively preadsorbed using a non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the site of phosphorylation to remove antibody that is reactive with non-phosphorylated VEGFR 2 protein. The final product is generated by affinity chromatography using a VEGFR 2 derived peptide that is phosphorylated at Tyrosine 1054. Storage
Preservative:
0. 05% Sodium Azide; Constituents: PBS 1mg/ml BSA (IgG protease free). pH 7. 3
Application Note:
WB: Use at a concentration of 0. 35 - 1 µ g/ml. Detects a band of approximately 200 kDa. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user. Cellular
Localization:
Type I membrane protein Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR 2 also known as KDR / FLK 1) is a 200 kDa member of a receptor tyrosine kinase family whose activation plays an essential role in a large number of biological processes such as embryonic development wound healing cell proliferation migration and differentiation. Like other growth factor receptors upon ligand binding VEGFR 2 dimerises and is autophosphorylated on multiple tyrosine residues. These sites can be involved in the regulation of kinase activity or serve as binding sites for SH2- and phosphotyrosine binding containing signaling proteins. Phosphorylation of Tyrosines 1054 and 1059 in the activation loop is required for activation of VEGFR 2 and its intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity.
Function:
Receptor for VEGF or VEGFC. Has a tyrosine-protein kinase activity. The VEGF-kinase ligand/receptor signaling system plays a key role in vascular development and regulation of vascular permeability. In case of HIV-1 infection the interaction with extracellular viral Tat protein seems to enhance angiogenesis in Kaposi\' s sarcoma lesions.
Catalytic Activity:
ATP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine = ADP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine phosphate.
Subunit:
Interacts with SHB upon VEGF activation. Interacts with HIV-1 Tat.
Subcellular Location:
Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Similarity:
Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. CSF-1/PDGF receptor subfamily.
Similarity:
Contains 7 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.
Similarity:
Contains 1 protein kinase domain.
