Immunogen:
Phenobarbital-KLH conjugated through a diazo linkase of meta-aminophenyl barbituric acid.
Specificity:
Recognises the barbiturate known as phenobarbital used worldwide as an anticonvulsant for the treatment of epileptic seizures. Phenobarbital can also be used as sedative though benzodiazepines are now the preferred choice for this application.
