Vitronectin

A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues near the hemopexin-like 1 domain of human Vitronectin was used as immunogen.

WB: 1:20 000IHC: 1:100-250IP: 1:50. Vitronectin also called serum spreading factor or complement S-protein is a member of the pexin family (1). Found in serum and in tissues Vitronectin exist in two forms; as a single chain (75kDa) and as a clipped form composed of two chains (65kDa and 10kDa). Vitronectin promotes cell adhesion spreading and migration through specific interactions with cellular integrins and inhibits cytolysis by the complement C5b-9 complex (2-4). Vitronectin also interacts with several critical proteins that regulate thrombosis and fibrinolysis. Vitronectin is phosphorylated by PKA and CKII (5). 1. Jenne D. ; Stanley K. K.
