Description
Puromycin is a protein inhibitor by inhibiting translation. It is toxic to both procaryotic & eukaryotic cells.Puromycin's main function is used in cell biology as a selective antibiotic agent in cell culture systemsfor selecting mammalian cell lines, which have been transformed by vectors that express puromycin-N-acetyl-transferase (PAC). Puromycin’ slongstanding application as a gene selection antibiotic, has a powerful new role in Genome editing utilizing the CRISPR/Cas9 system 1, 2. http://mbio.asm.org/content/6/4/e00861-15.full.pdf+html *Listed below are a few published articles demonstrating the use of our Puromycin.
