Description: Diphemanil methylsulfate (NSC 41725; NSC-41725; Prantal; Talpran; Diphemanil mesylate) is a quaternary ammonium anticholinergic agent used for a variety of conditions such as pylorospasm, peptic ulcer, gastric hyperacidity, hypermotility in gastritis, and hyperhidrosis. It acts by binding to muscarinic acetycholine receptors (mAchR), thus decreasing secretory excretion of stomach acids as well as saliva and sweat.
