Antigenes

ANTIGENES was founded in 2005 by former scientific staff from universities and university hospitals (Bochum and Essen). The focus was on the research and development of diagnostic applications for the testing of environmental and medical factors.

ANTIGENES produces and develops reagents for medical laboratory diagnostics and offers numerous, medically relevant bacterial, mycological, viral and parasitic antigens for test systems, which detect different antibodies in the blood of patients and thus diagnose autoimmune and infectious diseases as well as allergies. All solutions and kits are subject to ANTIGENES extensive stability tests. For in-vitro diagnostics with CE marking you will receive user-friendly instructions for use with tested protocols.

Antigens are substances that are recognized as foreign by the organism and trigger a specific immune reaction in the body. Antigens are generally derived from pathogens and are predominantly proteins or protein components, so-called peptides, but can also be carbohydrates and lipids. They are recognized in the body by antibodies or T-cells.

Antigens were, unless otherwise stated, sterile filtered and subsequently lyophilized. Package size is usually 1 mg, customer-specific quantities can be considered on request.

ANTIGENES sells a product range of diagnostic antigens for the preparation of immunochemical assays.

The product range includes numerous, medically relevant bacterial (over 30 species with different serotypes), mycological (over 60 species), viral (over 20 species), as well as parasitic (over 30 species) antigens for test systems through the blood of patients. ANTIGENES antigens are used in ELISA, rapid test, agglutination test, and much more.

In addition, a large number of animal allergens are available for the production of allergy diagnostic applications.

ANTIGENES produces antibodies from chicken egg yolk (IgY) with an extremely high purity, which do not show cross-reactions in plasma or serum.

As another business segment, ANTIGENES offers comprehensive sperm analysis kits, recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
