ATGen

The biotechnology company ATGen was founded in 2002 in South Korea and has subsidiaries in the US and Canada. ATGen is our partner for recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies. Its customers now include over 200 research institutes from more than 20 countries worldwide.

The company is fully committed to health and works with the goal of maintaining and improving the "greatest wealth". The provision of novel diagnostic tests and the development of new therapies should further increase the quality of life. The mission is the advancement of life science through high quality proteins and antibodies. ATGen manufactures all its products itself, working closely with professors, researchers and clients.

ATGen's core technology is a special technique, the Stable Peptide Fusion Technology (see picture). A protein that is unstable to environmental influences such as heat, pH, metal, ions, stirring, or freeze/thawing, becomes a stable fusion protein when combined with a recombinant peptide. The rate of return is thus significantly increased, biological activity is preserved and the stability to external stress increases very clearly.

Since 2004, ATGen has been developing and producing more than 3000 proteins for research purposes. DNA cloning techniques are used to produce cytokines, enzymes, metabolites and proteins for cancer research.

The product range also includes about 400 monoclonal antibodies. These can be combined with the numerous recombinant proteins and used in applications such as immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, or flow cytometry. In addition, ATGen distributes a number of cDNAs that are ready for use in your PCR experiments. Furthermore, a variety of lysates that can be used in combination with antibodies as a positive control in Western blot or immunoprecipitation are available.

In addition to the numerous catalog products, ATGen offers a customer-specific development service. This not only includes antibody development tailored to your needs. It also inludes protein expression and purification, as well as a DNA cloning service.

The company also developed and introduced an innovative NK cell function test called NK VUE, which allows doctors to diagnose diseases known to affect NK cell activity. NK VUE carries the CE mark and has been approved by the KFDA and Health Canada.
