The biotechnological company LigaTrap Technologies was founded in 2015 and is an expert in the field of antibody purification. It develops innovative and patented peptide-based ligand systems that can be used for the specific purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies of various species. Precipitation and inactivation of pH-sensitive antibodies are reduced by our partner's innovative solutions. LigaTrap enables customers to produce purer immunoglobulin using its unique ligands.

The innovative and patented peptide ligand technology produces affinity ligands that have a longer lifespan, enabling the production of purer antibodies. This also applies to antibodies that are particularly difficult to purify, such as IgM and IgA. No effective affinity resin was available for immunoglobulin A in the past, which prompted LigaTrap researchers to design a product line for the purification of human IgA. The binding capacity achieved of ≥15 mg IgA/mL resin far exceeds that of Jacalin or other lectin-based resins. The LigaTrap IgA Purification Resin also dispenses with sugar-based elution buffers, which simplifies further processing

With the LigaTrap Human IgM Purification Resin (LTT-LT-143-1x5ml) potential defects in proteolysis and disinfection can be eliminated in addition to a higher yield. LigaTrap purification kits and resins are very effective due to specific protocols that make them quick and easy to use. The simultaneous use of several samples enables a prompt screening for the respective antibody production. The use of the LigaTrap Spin Columns does not require any special devices, only a centrifuge is needed.

The unique Guard Columns by LigaTrap Technologies enable an improvement of the bioseparation platform. The filtering of impurities is based on affinity chromatography. The Guard Column resin uses very stable peptide ligands and enables a long service life despite more thorough cleaning.
