OPERON

OPERON, S.A. is a Spanish company based in Cuarte de Huerva, Zaragoza. Founded in 1973, OPERON initially operated as a research and development laboratory in the field of immunochemistry. Over time, the company expanded its focus to the international market, beginning to export its products as early as 1976. By 1986, OPERON was the first company in Spain to initiate research and production of monoclonal antibodies.

Today, OPERON specializes in the development and manufacturing of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) tests. Their product lines include raw materials (such as monoclonal antibodies and recombinant antigens), rapid tests (immunochromatography tests), and molecular diagnostics (including products based on RT-PCR and genotyping of disease-associated mutations).
