TriAltus Bioscience is an ISO 13485 certified life science company based in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, specializing in the development of innovative tools for the production and purification of genetically engineered proteins.

TriAltus Bioscience offers a specialized product line for the efficient purification of recombinant proteins based on its patented CLīM™ technology. At its core is the CL7 tag system, which, in combination with the specific Im7 affinity resin, enables one-step purification of target proteins with high purity and yield. This system is particularly suitable for proteins that are difficult to express, such as membrane or multisubunit proteins. It is also available in pre-packed chromatography columns and optimized for laboratory and production scale. To utilize the system, TriAltus Bioscience also offers a selection of CL7 fusion plasmids designed for recombinant expression in E. coli, enabling easy cloning and expression.

In addition, TriAltus Bioscience produces a range of recombinant enzymes that are used in various applications such as CRISPR technology, DNA and RNA synthesis as well as in molecular biology procedures such as PCR or diagnostics. All products are characterized by high purity, functionality and reproducible quality.

In 2021, TriAltus Bioscience received a US patent for its CL7 tag technology, which is based on mutations of the naturally occurring E. coli protein Colicin E7 and overcomes many of the limitations of other tag-based purification systems.
