The synthetic peptide sequence is selected from aa 359-372 of HUMAN NCOA3
Bio Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear receptorcoactivator that interacts with nuclear hormone receptors toenhance their transcriptional activator functions. The encodedprotein has histone acetyltransferase activity and recruitsp300/CBP-associated factor and CREB binding protein as part of amultisubunit coactivation complex. This protein is initially foundin the cytoplasm but is translocated into the nucleus uponphosphorylation. Several transcript variants encoding differentisoforms have been found for this gene. In addition, a polymorphicrepeat region is found in the C-terminus of the encoded protein.
