PDE3A is expressed primarily in cardiac and vascular myocytes and platelets. Supplied as a partially purified preparation of catalytically active enzyme useful for inhibitor and activator assays.

Recombinant protein corresponding to full length human phosphodiesterdase 3A expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system.

Unit Definition:
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that is required to convert 1 pmol cAMP to AMP per min at pH 7.5, 30°C.

Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
