Introduction	DARS uses a 2 step reaction to catalyze the specific attachment of an amino acid to its cognate tRNA: the amino acid (AA) is first activated by ATP to form AA-AMP and then transferred to the acceptor end of the tRNA.
Description	DARS Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 521 amino acids (1-501) and having a molecular mass of 59.3kDa. DARS is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Physical Appearance	Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Formulation	The DARS solution (1mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 150mM Nacl, 1mM DTT and 40% glycerol.
Purity	Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Storage	Store at 4C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
