Description	Apolipoprotein AIV is actively synthetized in the small intestine during fat absorption and incorporated onto the surface of nascent chylomicrons that are then secreted into lymph. When these chylomicrons enter plasma, Apo A IV dissociates from the surface and is found primarily in the lipoprotein-free fraction.
